My friend has this barrel and experienced issues in temps just above freezing, Wolf Gold, unsuppressed, and I believe A5H1 with green Sprinco. Disregard if only shooting suppressed, but you may need a lighter spring and buffer if shooting unsuppressed in colder temps. |

I shot 223 in the middle of the winter and it was totally fine, similar temperatures. In fairness, thats with a flow through can and a riflespeed agb. The centurion barrels are also awesome, its a hard choice between the two for me. I like the NP3 extension on the triarc paired with my LMT enhanced Bolt, but I also really like centurion T extensions with the e4/etb bolt. I dont think either is a bad choice. |

This is about where I'm at with AR's. A 14.5-16" with a good mag optic and dot is hard to beat. |

For comps with real distance I have another rifle with a longer more accurate barrel and optics package but for 2 gun matches and general use (hunting, bedside gun) I still use the same rough setup. 3-15 and an offset dot, and Geissele barrel and trigger. You can easily shoot these guns to 600 without issue.

I can see everything I need to see and a good stainless barrel gives me all the performance I need. |

This one's a little goofy, but it's surprisingly accurate. This was originally a 14.5 chf noveske Skinny barrel that I chopped to 12.5". Currently wearing an LWRC UCIW shorty stock. This is one of only a couple barrels I have that actually shoots 77gr TMKs well.

Scores in. Ended up taking first overall out of 60 with the mini recce. Used the offset dot the entire time which really speaks to the versatility of these guns. You’ve had all the scopes I’m considering. The mk4 is a place holder, but it might live there for a while. It’s old, but the glass is fantastic. I found a MOAR x24 for $1400, but that’s almost NX8 1-8 money. The kill flash makes the NX8 look a bit longer too

New range is SWEET. Multiple LRP range areas, tac bays, a fudd zero bay... First time shooting nx6 1-6 today... pushed it out to 800 off of the magazine in wind/rain lol. Low hit % at 800. Went 7/10 on the 24" gong at 700. Gravestone west of Dallas is legit my dudes. |

Attached File Folks who have real access to long range areas and can do things beyond pure bullseye/benchrest are truly blessed. I count my lucky stars every time I see 1,250 of field in front of my rifle. |

Working on a new mini recce. The GL/SSC was cool but was an impulse buy. Shoulda left it as a 13.25" with rifle length RIS II Debating on P&W 14.7" on this or chopping it to 14.1" and running it on a SBR lower. I painted this rifle about 10 years ago and can't remember what colors I used. That's what's making me want to P&W and keep it on this lower. Got a 1-6 NOVA since it's a great bang for the buck and it's gonna be a 500m and in rifle for the most part. Maybe aervoe field drab with krylon camo.

A good range totally changes shooting. Started shooting matches just to have access to better facilities, and ultimately ended up joining a range with ~700 yd. The Geissele range in Tremont, PA is also crazy. The wind conditions are nuts, and you have a really wide arc to engage targets. It's excellent. |

I wouldn't let the paint job dictate which lower gets used. You can always re-paint everything or just leave it be, mismatched. I have some that were painted as complete rifles and then uppers got swapped. Case in point:   @RTUtah will be the only one that gives you a hard time about it lol |
