This has been taken care of. If one of the moderators could please delete this thread it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Shrubjr This is not going to be a fun post to write, I've read a lot of these, and frankly most of them seem to be dudes that are just whining. I don't want to be one of those dudes. Please feel free to look at my previous posts and see how many of these I have done, you'll find that on the 6 forums frequented by shrubjr that this is only the second one of these I've ever done, and the only one against a company. On 10/27/2015 I called Northtech defense and asked if they could do a custom barrel length of 11.5" for me because I had read about their reputation for accuracy. Dustin, the owner, told me that he would be happy to do that for me and that he would charge the same as a 10.5" barrel. He said that it would take a while, and estimated that it would ship around the end of 2015. I ordered the barrel that same day and was charged $372.50 for the barrel and $10 shipping for a total of $382.50. I was e-mailed an invoice that same day and my credit card was charged the following day 10/28/2015. I have both the invoice and the bank statement to prove this. I did not call to ask about the barrel until January of 2016 because I know custom gun work takes time, and I didnt want to be "that guy" In January 2016 I was told it wouldn't be ready until the end of February. In the second week of March I was told mid-May. In the third week of May I was told mid-June. At the end of July, I was simply told "very soon". In the second or third week of August I bought a different barrel to finally finish my AR and I started asking for a refund from Northtech Defense. |

I was told that they would look into it and call me back the same day. They never returned my call. During another phone call Dustin asked for a copy of the invoice which I e-mailed to him the same day. Since then I have called, left voicemails, and sent e-mails numerous times. E-mails and voicemails have not been replied to, and on the few occasions I have managed to talk to either dustin or his secretary, I've been assured that they would look into it and call me right back. They have NEVER called me back. They have not returned a single call in a year of dealing with them. Finally, in the first week of October, I called my bank to see if they could cancel the transaction. Not surprisingly, it has been too long and they cannot make a claim that far back |

As of this writing 10/18/2016 I have neither a barrel, or my $382.50. I hate to publicly run down a gun company, but I don't know what else to do at this point. They have done NOTHING to resolve this situation, and at this point I have to assume that Northtech Defense has stolen my money, and that I will never receive a barrel or a refund.
I will be sending links to this post to Dustin at Northtech Defense, if he is willing to make this right then I will happily ask forum moderators delete this thread. Until then, let this be a warning to you that dealing with Northtech Defense is a poor decision. If you guys have any ideas about how to resolve this I would love to hear them. Thanks, Shrubjr |

I would write up a hard copy letter stating what you are stating here and send it to them Registered mail Return Receipt requested, then when you get the return of the receipt take it to a lawyer and have them handle, once you have confirmation that they have received your letter, then you can pursue your money, plus any costs associated with recovering the money.
Now make it clear what your intention are and why you are writing to them, include copies of all emails, receipts, charges, statements and what ever else you can to document the case. When they sign to accept the letter, then they have no way to back out, because they will have acknowledge they have received your correspondence. Both my wife and I are business owners, plus we have had to pursue money paid out for products and or services that were not delivered or rendered, this is how we pursue getting our products or payments when someone is being stupid. Good luck |

Northtech Defense has just called me and refunded my money, they have had some internal issues over the past year, and had lost my order, apparently they thought this had already been handled. They apologized, and said they would do whatever needed done to make it right.

It is hard to make payments on something you never received. |

After 5 or so calls and over a years wait I'm not sure they deserve a clean up. |

And now it's on the web forever if someone googles them. |

The problem was not fixed until made public in a forum (a year later). You have amended the first post with an update, that should be good enough. |
