I have always been dissappointed with my own ability to get off a second shot with accuracy and speed. I could always get one or the other but not both together. The slight recoil and resultant barrel position shift always frustrates me, that I cannot be more accurate with speed. I added a muzzel brake and a 9mm buffer which helps slightly, but still does not yield the results that I was looking for.

I then found a sight that is run by David Tubbs, who is a Pro Competition shooter. He gives high praise for his special made buffer spring, so I gave it a shot. The results were astounding. I'm not sure if it is the combination of the 9mm buffer, muzzel brake and the spring, or just the spring. But one thing is clear, it yields the results that I've been looking for. During rapid fire I can place 2 or more shots in nice tight groups almost instantainiously. It has calmed down my AR nicely and keeps it on target with minimal effort.

Anyway I just thought I'd share my experience in case others are looking to solve a similar problem. The springs can be found here

Is the rifle and carbine the same length?  Cause I got one that came with a CTR stock assembly and it is LONGER than a standard rifle spring.  Seemed awful tight for a carbine tube so I took it out.

I don't know. I have a vltor upper w/16" hbar and a CTR Stock. The new spring is much longer than the one I replaced. His sight says that he has the springs for both.

If you are referring to his "flatwire" spring, then their is only one length.  His regular style CS springs come in rifle and carbine lengths.
