I just got my new Bushmaster Modular Carbine and I already have a problem. How does one get the stud swivel off the front hand guard?

If it's a BMAS-type (attached to the rail), back out the Allen bolt
that's threaded through the base of the stud.

If it's attached directly to the body of the hand guard, just unscrew it.
It may be very tight, so you might have to use something like the
shank of a small screwdriver through the stud as a sort of tiny breaker bar.

Hope this helps.
