Shot a new barrel today on a RR lower. Had trouble with the brass being dented from the side, see pic below. Ran 20 rounds through it and all 20 were dented!
Does anyone have any ideas as to what causes this?????
Thanks for the HELP!

It's the brass hitting the brass deflector upon ejection. It's just fine.

So this is typical?
Will I be able to reload the Brass??

Yeah, it won't be a problem at all. I reload brass like that all the time.

No, it's hitting the trailing edge of the ejection port.

I stand corrected. Still, it's just fine to reload.

Yes, it shouldn't pose any (serious) problems...

So there's nothing to adjust or worry about?
Just keep shooting?

It's a Model 1 SS 18" fluted bull that has a flash suppressor on it.
Sorry not up on my AR-15 acronyms!
Bought as a complete upper from Model 1.

Yes.
You might Google/look at the Armalite tech note on ejection tuning, if you want to try to mess with it - no guarantees.

unless you experience any malfunctions just shoot it and don't worry about it.
