I am currently building a carbine and I can't decide which route to go.
-One route is to go the typical M4 clone with carbine length forearm (either flip-up or fixed front-sight) or a low profile gas block and mid-length forearm.
-If I do go with the carbine length forearm, should I go with a flip-up or fixed front sight?

I'm looking for opinions and maybe some pics.  Basically, I'm trying to build the most tacticool carbine I can!!

Durability?  Get the standard triangle front sight.

Clear sight pic with low power optics?  Flip up front sight.  I like the one integral with the gas block from YHM and the price is reasonable.

Rail?  Yes please. YHM rails are economical.

Carbine or mid length?  I prefer mid length.  It looks better on a 16 inch barrel.
