Does anyone have experience doing a build with the Mega billet upper with the bolt onKey Mod forearm? Specifically, is the lock-up between the upper and the fore end rigid enough to have a scope with one mount on the upper, and the other mount on the fore end? Does this system do a god job of isolating the barrel from any flex between the upper and the fore end? Thank you for your patience as I have just asked essentially the same question three ways.
I was initially going to use a PRI Gen III carbon tube with an ARMS top rail (a la Mk12 Mod0), but it seems that I could save some weight with the Mega set-up (if it is rigid enough). Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions. L/D |
