Was celebrating my newly built back-yard range. Decided to end with a bang, and torture test some new 855 ammo and my AR. So, I decided to try to bump-fire it. Note: I have never bump-fired anything before. Interesting result: Every time after 1 round would fire, the next round would load, but the trigger would not fire the weapon. Bolt seemed locked on the next round, but nothing. I cycled another round and it would fire normally. It did work once fire 2 shots, but then failed to fire again. Shoulder fired, the weapon is 110%. M&A Parts CAR kit on Mega Lower. No more than 1k rounds through it. Been 100% before, and shoulder fired is still 100%. Question: Do I have a problem, do I not know how to bump-fire an AR, or do AR's not take kindly to firing without something to push against (shoulder). Thanks in advance! |

Quoted: Bump firing is not something to base rifle function on. Might at as well put it to your shoulder and fire rounds as fast as you can. Thats kind of my question. When you shoulder fire the rifle, it will keep up to whatever you can do. Just wasn't sure if that meant that there was a weak spring somewhere or something.
