That Eotech and magnifier combo just looks right for this style rifle.

We need to bring this thread back.
Since I had 2 Block I's, a Block II, and a URG-I, adding an ergo rail extension made a Block I transition a no brainer. I just got the ergo rail today. I have a Razor HD Gen 2 1-6 waiting for a Geissele mount. Anyone else add the ergo? |
|
I'd say 90% are saying, We all know it's fake; we're playing along. The other 10% are saying, We're ready! And I'd say 10% of that 10% can't wait for it to happen

Bump to keep this thread alive. Glad i grabbed an Ergo rail when i did, they all seem to have dried up.

I picked an ergo up a few months ago for my recon clone. I should've taken a few pics this weekend when I took it and my fsp block II out.

Looking at some of the pics. I also see Magpul RVG being used…

Makes sense with the rest of the USMC going HK that Recon would get a shorty version

OP has the Ergo Forward Rail up for grabs plus 10% off just fyi.

In the last thread about Recon rifles, there was some talk about the Cadex rail extensions being used. I’ve always wanted the Cadex extension, just because they’re cool and I like Canadian shit, but i’ve never seen one on a Recon gun.
Anyone have pics of the Cadex? |

Also, I'm damn sure any Marine was thrashed if he/she ever tried this Army move while shooting the AR - Placing your support hand around the magwell as if it were a vertical foregrip! One of my biggest pet peeves which I personally witnessed "soldiers" having mis-feeds due to unseating the magazine by this stupid move! However, the Army did get the Sig contract as their new Optic, which one slid off the line while fielding and fell onto my Geissele. Hated the ACOG and actually used an Eotech in OIF which saved my ass 10x over!As stated above, "most" Marines do not have the option to run whatever they want for optics or modify their rifles with tricked out gear - was lucky enough to be on the T&E crew for L3 at the time! Sure wish I had a MAWL instead of the shitty PEQ when I was there! Lastly, as a wicked Eotech fan I couldn't help but pick up something in your spec sheet at the top OP. I'm thinking there is some stolen valor going on if someone is claiming to be a Gunny and also says that Marines didn't use the magwell hold on the rifles.

I remember "short stocking" and grabbing the mag well numerous times during clearing. The mag well was quick and easy too when it came to reloading. I somewhat recall having my vfg near that position too when we first fielded those a4's. Several of us kept things in close with those 20"ers. I never did have any feeding issues when it came to grabbing the mag well.

Not my picture so I'm not sure what laser that is.
I did notice in the 2nd video, a lot of the Comp M4 Aimpoints had the mount reversed putting the knob on the ejection port side. I don't know why I never thought of that before. I flipped mine around and I do like it better that way. |

I just ordered an Ergo extension and it will be in this coming week, how sturdy are they when mounting an AFG on? Reason I ask is I saw someone post about how they weren't very stable and wobble.

That’s a PEQ-16, the trigger is as far from correct as possible, and the Aimpoint M4S wasn’t issued to the Marines (unless it was at a very small scale). |
