I have one of the old Colt rimfire kits that came with a long-gone AR15 from the late 80's or early 90's.  My kids have discovered it and I would like to find some more magazines.  Will any of the new magazines by other makers work with the Colt bolt?  I admit I haven't contacted Colt about this; perhaps they still have some in stock.  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Black Dog Machine is out of the solid aluminum billet Colt/DPMS .22LR hi-cap mags. They told me they are not planning on making any more. However, I believe they are still working on a polymer body/steel feed lip mag design for the DPMS/Colt .22LR conversion kits. They beta tested some prototypes of these a few months ago, but had mixed results. They won't be releasing any of the polymer/steel Colt/DPMS mags until they can perfect a design that works more consistently in a greater percentage of the DPMS/Colt conversion kits used to beta test it.

The original DPMS 10rd factory .22LR conversion mags are compatible with the Colt conversion. Unfortunately, both DPMS and Colt stopped making their 10rd .22LR conversion mags several years ago, so don't waste your time contacting either manufacturer.

I still have a few new and used original Colt and DPMS factory 10rd mags available for purchase. I also have some replacement parts avaiable. Please e-mail me if you're interested.

Thanks,

Dan
