| Anyone use c-products magazines? I want to invest in a few new mags, probably 3 20 rounders and another 30 rounder. I own a bushmaster with a magpul follower as of right now, which is my primary magazine and another that I dont use because it has a shitty green follower that causes jams. I am thinking I will get a magpul follower for that one and fix that problem. do the c products magazines use a follower similar to the magpul one? I dont want to buy anything unreliable, but dont want to drop rediculous amounts of money on the new mags. |

Search function... And yes, they are quite well regarded... And you're looking to get 3 or 4 mags to go along with your one that works and other that sucks? I... ![]() Do yourself a huge favor... Also a great deal going now on C-Products mags at AIM, 44mag, etc... Dunno about free shipping, which to me makes the DSG 10-pack the best deal out there And come on, this is Arfcom, ya gots to have at least one combat loadout of mags per rifle... ![]() |

CProducts are great mags! If your Bushy mag is pretty new, then CProducts actually made it. They make them for Bushy with Busmaster floor plates. The stainless mags are the best, and damn durable. The teflon coated aluminums are the best buy, and on sale right now. Click on the 44Mag button at the top here, and pick up CProducts teflon coated 30 rounders with an anti tilt follower (very similar to Magpul) for less than 10 bucks. Stock up now before the post -election rush!!! |
+1 The D&H teflon mags with the Magpul anti-tilt followers at the above DSG link are great mags! How can you beat 10 of these for $100 and free shipping?? As for the Cproducts mags, 44 Mag has them with the Magpul followers at a good price too. I've got a few dozen of the Cproducts mags and I like them too. Why only buy 3 or 4 mags?!?!?! You've gotta get a dozen per carbine at least....they are the weakest link in the carbine system...better to have more than you need right at this moment. Just my .02 cents. |
| i dont know guys, i guess it wouldnt hurt to have 15 mags, but why do i need that many when i dont get to shoot all that often? i figure i should start getting a few new mags, then ammo, and maybe misc. parts. If i had the money I'd definately get a 10 pack of them. maybe i should start getting ammo and parts and wait for christmas for a 10 pack of mags and a ff tube. |
I myself and many around here will advise getting as many mags as you can while they're as cheap as they are now. Mags break, stupid laws get passed... I remember paying 25 bucks for really crappy 30 rounders during the ban... something to think about. Same argument applies to ammo... (well, it doesn't break but you shoot it, and the prices, well... buy it while it's only an arm and you don't have to chop off your leg too) If on a limited budget maybe don't get a 10-pack now but your best bet is to skip the 20s and get a few of the 30 round black teflon coated c-products mags w/ orange magpul followers that are on sale right now at 44mag... Best deal going on indiv. mags, I think... And then spend some cash on ammo as well.. |
I'm not too sure about bulk black hills. I know you say you don't like remington or federal but I will suggest that if money is tight perhaps going with something a little cheaper in terms of practice/range ammo, several distributors offer very high quality bulk new manufactured or reloaded ammo for a price that is often damn near 20c/rd cheaper... Even bulk federal XM193 which is new mil-spec 5.56 and not .223 reloads is about 16 cents cheaper per round than the first box of black hills that came up in a google search... Just something to think about... |

Definitely a good idea if saving money is an objective... Best deal on Xm193 I've seen in a while (coupon code offer) is detailed here otherwise check out the first few resources over in the Ammo Forum The price list will help you find a good deal on bulk practice ammo and theres lots of good reading there on ammo-related topics |
