Those are D&H mags and some people have reported problems with them, including me. I haven't heard of problems with D&H mags dating back that far though. Replace them. My personal preference is C Products. After them NHMTG, but if you have a problem with C Products, or just have a question you can speak personally to Larry who is co-owner of the company. TS |

How do they fail? "Jamming" is not a technical term. We need more real info. Such as, when fully loaded - are they simply failing to feed? As in, you fire, but then the bolt carrier fails to strip the round and fully chamber it? Ir are you seeing doublefeeds, empty chambers, etc? First - clean and lube per the TM with CLP. Second - load a mag with 1 round. Fire. Ensure the bolt locks back. This removes a gas system issue from the equation. Third - if it is a fail to strip the round, and the round hangs up on the feedlip - this is the common gripe with current D&H mags. You can replace it, or you can sand the underside of the feedlips (especially the forward edge) to smooth them up. Also - you should inspect you buffer spring, and consider replacing it if worn. How many rounds have you put thru the mag? |
That is exactly the issue I stated above. D&H makes the mags for Bushmaster. If you debur the feedlips, especially the leading edge - that will fix it. Again - How many rounds have you put thru the mag? |
