I got 3 30 round mags from cmmg for $16 each when I ordered my upper and so far they have worked flawlessly.  They are marked Gov/LEO only though so make sure you can have them in your state first.

Do ya really need the red spring? Seems like a gimick if the regular springs last a lifetime.

If you dont have to worry about magazine reliability in the dirt and just play on the range, then no, you dont need them.

All of my magazines have extra power springs, either the SAW springs for Wolff and they have run 100%, even with fine desert dirt inside them.

Plenty of people use the regular mags (including the military) and they seem to not be having too many problems.

You seem to always be saying in every one of your posts that others are just using their stuff on the range. What exactly are you doing? Rolling around in the mud? Shooting up charlie? C'mon man, your just like the rest of us, shooting on "square" ranges at fixed targets.

You're absolutely right.

And I make so much money that I waste it on useless shit and then try to convince everyone else to do it so I dont feel bad about it.
