I am curious if it is possible to mount both an Aimpoint M68 optic on a gooseneck mount as well as a PEQ-2 on the barrel clamp mount with standard M16A2 round handguards. I am wondering if there is enough space to do this without the front of the M68 hitting the back of the PEQ-2. It seems like it will be a very close fit regardless. I have an M16A2 clone rifle with an Aimpoint M2 on the gooseneck and I was looking to add a PEQ-2 to the rig but would like to know if this is even possible before buying the laser. I would rather not find out that they do not fit after the fact. If this is indeed possible, does anyone know if this setup was ever issued in the military? Would anyone know of any pictures they could post of this setup? I would appreciate it! |

Attached File The m68 gooseneck mount and the Peq-2a barrel mount will work together. I tried one on my rifle but I took the mount off because I have got a optic yet. |

I was mostly wondering if the optic itself will interfere with the laser. Seems like the mount will have some clearance between it and the back of the PEQ, but the front of the optic itself will basically sit above the battery compartments on the PEQ and it is not clear if it will fit or not. |
