I know I'm probably the last guy on ar15.com to get one, but..........these are the greatest things since........I don't know, maybe since sexxx! Really guys, my hands don't hurt anymore.........from loading & unloading! If you don't have one, then get one now! teamroper2004 |

You guys must have monster springs in your mags because I can load my mags all day long and not have sore thumbs. The rounds go in my mags as smooth as butter. I don't know how you do it but I just put the round on top of the follower and push straight down. In fact I can load a 20 or 30 round mag faster than anyone I know with a LULA. Now unloading is another story. I unload mine by pulling the trigger. If I want to leave the range and have a few rounds left in a mag it is very easy to unload, just not as fast as a LULA. I just grab the point of the bullet and bush it away from the feed lip that is holding that particular round. It just pops out. You end up flipping the rounds out right, left, right, left, etc, etc, etc. MadDog ![]() |

LULAs get my vote, especially when loading a large number of rounds. Nothing easier on the digits than dropping the rounds into the chute, and they all end up properly staggered and seated at the back of the mag. And there is no easier way to unload them than with the LULA. To each his own. |

I find them very convenient for 3 gun matches, particularly on the unloading. A course of fire may be 28 rounds. I take three 30 rounders to the line if there is no mandatory reloads. Use one mag to chamber the first round and then change to another so I can start with 31 in the gun. I have the now 29 round mag and an additional 30 rounder in mag pouches. If it's a higher round count stage, a mandatory reload, or long range/tight targets I may have to take extra shots, I will have another 30 rounder in my back pocket. Let's say everything goes right and I just use the one mag. I still have 2 or more full mags left and that's super if there is another stage to shoot. If not, it could be days or a week before I have the oppurtunity to fire the loaded mags. I know it doesn't hurt anything, I just don't like to leave them loaded and I also think it's a pain in the ass to unload mags without the LULA. The LULA is $25 at the most. That means at the very worst you are only getting screwed out of $25. There are many reasons to have a device that quickly and conveniently unloads mags without firing them. It's not that people that have the LULA's are candy asses or not as tough as those that don't, we just feel that they are useful.

Okay, I confess - I REALLY didn't think I'd like the Lula, but I bought one anyway. I just didnt' see the need for it. It's pretty damned fast. You get a rythme going, and just drop those rounds in. I can probably do it as fast by hand, but it's easier with the Lula I'm reformed. The Lula simply ROCKS! I'm going to pick up a spare. |
| Load up 8-30 rounders and see if your thumb hurts. It would if you tried to keep up with anyone using a Lula. Another nice thing is how quickly they unload a mag. If you ever used one, you would own one. They are one sweet piece of hardware, and I am not in to gimmicky things. Get 'em wholesale at Brownell's if you can. |
