Can someone please post a photo showing the actual pins we are talking about when we discuss large or small pin Colts? Also which models had the large pins and when did Colt stop the big pin configuration?

Pin size refers to the fire control group, hammer pivot pin and trigger pivot pin. Colt is no longer producing the large pin, .170 diameter. They stopped around the first quarter of this year. Every other mannufacturer has used small pin, .155 diameter.

although, for a time in the 80's to early 90's, colt also used large pivot pins

Both gentlemen are correct. When referring to large pin or small pin in Colts, there is a need to specify if you are talking about the Fire Control Group or the front pivot pin.
