I hereby guarantee that Krieger AR-15 barrels can produce sub-1/10th-MOA accuracy at 100 yards with match grade ammunition.* As proof, the group pictured below was fired from one of my 24" Krieger barreled AR-15s at a distance of 100 yards. The group has an extreme spread of 0.084 MOA.
The next group pictured was fired from another one of my 24" Krieger barreled AR-15s, also from a distance of 100 yards. This group has an extreme spread of 0.079 MOA. Since both of these barrels were able to produce sub-1/10th-MOA groups, they can surely be expected to produce this level of precision . . . all . . . day . . . long.

Blitzkings can be nasty little buggers.
Had a 50 and 40grn load with H322 that was seemingly magic for 3 and sometimes 5 shot groups. Mixed brass and thrown from the measure it was a solid SubMOA performer for 10 shots. Not commenting on the groups in picture or intent of this thread as to do so confuses me. |

Do you shoulder it? -Freq I use "forend adaptors" when shooting a railed handguard from a bench-rest. I shoulder it and I've gotten the most consistency from using a real hard hold. Others will advise you differently. Use what works for you. |

Krieger barrels are extremely accurate barrels. We used them exclusively in Barrett rifles till they couldn't keep up with monthly demands. We ended up going to someone else for the bolt gun barrels. Stayed in WI though didn't you? All the best barrels come from WI

I just hope the wind stays down. I'm getting better groups with my daniel defense and 4x optic than he is with that Walther he's got, using some ammunition. I don't handload, so I can't compete with the tailored ammo groups he's shooting, but I know he's a better trigger puller than I am, and hte fact that I'm getting better 10 shot groups with a CHF chrome-lined .gov barrel and 4x optic than he is with a rest and a 25x scope tells me that Walther barrel is rather "meh". At least, that's my interpretation of events. His Kreiger was on point. |

Thanks for the practice Molon. I shot a perfect score at league yesterday. At 100 yards, Four 1" pasters from a rest and one shot at a 3" gong standing unsupported. At 200 yards, Four 2" gongs rested and one shot at an 8" gong standing unsupported.
I've gone 9 for 10 before but that 3" target unsupported is a bitch. |
