My Bushmaster trigger will sometimes act like a light single stage trigger but mostly
it acts like a proper two stage trigger.  No one has worked on it since it left the factory
a few years ago.  It does it now more than it ever did and I don't want to ignore it anymore.
Is it fixable  or should I spring for a new trigger ( I use this rifle for Hi Power competition
and am also considering investing in a Geislele trigger)?

Replace the disco spring after cleaning (read pulling the FCG from the lower), and it should solve the problem.

If not, then having the trigger worked/ smith set for the second stage will solve the problem, and you end up with a trigger that you really love, at a lot cheaper price over buying a brand new unit.

I think it's about time to remove it, clean and readjust.  You should be able to get the instructions off of BM's site or download from CLE.  While youre at it you might want to have CLE install the hardened insert.  Yours has none ant the trigger may be worn out (likely).

clean it and use necco moly slide lub as recommemded by BM, thats all thats needed. I tried several different lubs first, none worked. the moly lube reccomended by bm fixed it.
