Marty So, you bought a complete barreled upper? You probably should have mentioned that. Most tend to think of upper as just the receiver. Not to be rude but, if you don't have the tools to disassemble an upper you should probably look into acquiring them. Working on ARs is not hard or expensive and being able to do the work yourself makes things a lot easier in the long run. |

If you spray with moly resin and wear it carefully it will turn out really cool. I’ve done some blowers like this where I get them anodized clear spray Molly over them and carefully wear them. I did a batch of 5 customs rifles like this for a collector with some drop in sears. |

Heres my A2 shorty clone. I used the dark gray primer, then baked at 190f for 1.5 hours. Looks goodish for a $7 investment. But is more fragile than Norrells. Attached File ETa: The mag was also sprayed and baked. Someone removed all the original finish, and it was a shiny nickel color. |
