I have a 11.5 Bushy upper with Surefire rail, Vortech fh, heavy bolt & carrier mated to a RRA pistol lower. I have not had the chance to shoot it yet - in fact I still need either a gusset or a sling mount (I think) so that I can get it ready for the range.

1) Is there a difference in performance/safety between a gusset versus a sling mount? Since I only need one or the other to get functional - what is the most cost effective way to cover this?

2) Is there a noticable difference in heat dissipation in rail v.s. hadnguards v.s. aluminum tube?

3) For those of you that have a KX3 or KKF - do you feel it is worth the price for that change from an A2 or Vortex/Phantom/etc?

4) LMT seems to produce a very reliable 10.5 - are there reliability upgrades that can be done to my Bushy to mimic the LMT?

5) Anyone have experience with AAC's plastic rails?

Thanks in advance.

<= The Aluminium FF tube definitely heats up faster than traditional HGs.

<= You haven't even fired it yet and you're worried about reliability issues?  he

<= Black Extractor Spring Inserts; Crane O-Rings; Stronger Extractor Springs are the standard Reliabilty Upgrades for any AR, especially shorties.

Thanks for the info - I have been disappointed by BM yet - I just understand that traditionally the shorter the bbl the more issues they seem to have.
