I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of a true FN AR/M16 upper's markings? I made a deal with a fellow officer who claimed that the upper is FN. However, I see no markings that indicate this.

The weapon is very reliable. But I'd just like to know what a true FN upper looks like. I would take pictures, but my camera is crap.

I bought one of the CDNN FN uppers.  I understand that the receivers have different forging marks, but they all have an "F" stamp in front of the rear sight on the right side.  All the one's I've seen do, but of course, I have not seen them all.

Hmm.. All I have is a 2 in that location. The barrel shows 5.56 NATO 1-9. The big thing for me is the raised marking right below the flattop rail on the right side.

It's not a keyhole or a C or M... But some strange symbol that I haven't seen before.

That's definitely a FN marked barrel. Now I'm really curious as to what I have.

I found out that my upper is a Cardinal Forge. I'm not so sure of the quality, but that's what it is....
