I could use some help identifying this upper I own. The only stamping on it is on the barrel, which says 5.56 NATO 1-9. There are no other identifying marks on this upper. It has a fake flash suppresor, no bayonet lug, and originally came with the oval M-4 handguards. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. The only reason I bought it without knowing who it was made by is because I paid next to nothing for it. P.P.S. I have no way of posting pictures of it. I would be more than happy to e-mail some to you if you are kind enough to help me out. Thanks! |
| I know it is not a bushy. The finish on it is a dead give away (I probably should have specified that). It looks like the receiver has a duracoat finish, not anodized, and the barrel is anodized. I do know that there was a group purchase in 2001 from AR-15.com of a full rifle that has an upper that looks just like this one. The only thing is, those were from RRA and unless Rock River used lower quality uppers in the past, this is not a Rock River upper. |
The barrel is not anodized. |
post pics? sounds like either the RRA or M&Asales upper with the pressed on a2 |
| Thanks for all the help. After looking into M&A, I think it might be from them. I have found out who originally bought it and should b able to track down all the info I need. Thanks again for you're help. And since i paid $200 for it with very little wear, I don't think I got ripped off (it is pretty accurate and very fun to shoot, and that is all that matters). |
