Hello,

I have been give an opportunity to purchase a Colt LE065600 5.56 AR-15 but I cannot find ANY reference to this model number.

Can someone please tell me what this is?

That looks like a serial number not a model number.

It is the only number stamped on the weapon besides the US patent number.

I think you're right it is a serial number as I just did a google search on where to find the serial number on an AR15. So how do I find what Model it is? Should I assume it is the 6940 as it's stamped LE?

Double check that serial. I think it might be LEO65600, not LE065600.
