I'm planning a build for a .308 AR rifle. The rifle will be a 14.5" pinned to 16 build that will serve as a "heavy Recce rifle" if you will. I have most of the parts lined out, and I am looking at total cost to be around 4300.00 not counting shippin on all orders, etc. The issue i am having is optics. I was initially going to opt for a Leupold 2-8x36mm Mark4 Scope, but I havealso looked at the Vortex 2.5x10 x 32mm scope. I know leupold has built its name on reliability, quality, etc., but I have also heard good things about the Vortex optics. IS it true that Vortex are made by Zeiss?
If anyone that has had experiences with BOTH optics or optic brands, please chime in.
