Has anyone tried one? Does it help or extend life? Does anyone have a pic of one at 2000 rounds vs a standard one at the same?

Forgive me for asking but why would you need/want one? I have been told by several folks who know what they're talking about to avoid anything chrome on an AR bolt.

If you're having extractor problems then that's another thing entirely.

Ditto with Bob on this one.

I have bolts, both chrome and non, that are past the 20,000 mark and the extractors are still fine.

On your current extractor, have you de-bured the slot cut.  On some, the slot cut that grabs the rim can be bured and cause it to not completely grab the rim.  If needed, use a small file and clean the sides of the slot cut to confirm that it is grabbing the rim fully.
