So, i just started my build yesterday (picked up an Andersons stripped lower) and since i have a fairly mild budget, im planning on an A3 style build from a Del-ton rifle kit

My question is, all of these fancy keymod and m-lok rails have some similar looking attachments, would some of these fit on a A2 hand-guard?
I would like to mount a flashlight on my rifle and have read that the TMC Mount-N-Slot will work on A2 hand-guard and MOE hand-guards
Also would be interested in putting a bi-pod stud on the hand-guard and thought the Keymod studs might work

If you want add-ons and are on a budget get the MOE handguard....they are inexpensive.
If it's an early MOE you can use the excellent IWC mounts.
If it's a late model MOE it will have M-LOK slots built in.

B5 keymod handguards are also available.http://www.skdtac.com/B5-Systems-Handguard-Carbine-Length-p/b5s.152.htm

Life isn't entirely about Magpul but I am using a K grip with them.

They should just let that key mod crap die.

Well, key mod / M-LOK is a great concept because it provides attachment points via "negative space".....lighter and more comfortable to the hand.
Picatinny quad rails are "positive space" solutions....heavier and less comfortable.

With the inertia of Magpul behind it, I think M-LOK will emerge as the dominant player.

IMHO... none of the above if your rifle already has an A2 front sight post. If so, keep your stock handguards and use them for your... HANDS (not to mount "stuff").
If A2 front sight post, try THIS:

Because EVERYBODY just loves the Quad rail/ Cheesegrader feel.

IMO one of the dumbest designs ever made.

Keymod/ M-lok is the new way and will be around for awhile. Unlike the Quad rail.
