| I am having a hell of a time seeing my front iron sight. Its very blurry. Getting old I quess. Have been looking at eotech sights and was wondering if red dot sights good for longer shots or just close combat type situations or am I gonna be a scope shooter. I have a scope for my AR but don't like the weight and bulk. |

unmagnified red dots will not help you see or identify a target any better than irons will. they are a bit faster with target acquisition though. Magnification isn't a bad thing, especially with something like an ACOG that allows you to shoot with both eyes open, for nearly as fast up close shooting while still retaining that magnification for the longer shots. |
