| How important is it to align the gas tube with the bolt carrier gas key on a new upper build? I still notice rubbing no matter how much I try to align it. |
It's rubbing on top. I think I worked out all the side to side drag. I tried using a piece of gas tube to align, but it aligns differently once you have the real tube pinned into the front sight. Figured it out. The old cheap handguards I was using were somehow pushing up on the gas tube and making it rub. New quality handguards took care of the problem.
