At first I didn't know what to say about this thread. The more I thought about it, this is probably the place for me. I have lots of USGI parts, but no clones.

Well, my MRE idea went up in flames since the Weaver optic is dead, illumination flickers. However, I believe I'm in the midst of the best customer service I've ever experienced. We'll see in a week or two.

Fucking sucks painting in sub freezing temps. I usually put down a base layer. Put a bunch of different splotches of color all over. Then mist a fine overspray over everything, usually green, then tan. To bring out all the colors, I rub the entire thing with oil. The oil usually breaks through the overspray layers to bring out all the shades underneath. Also gets rid of the fucking chalky feeling. In the cold, the overspray doesn't work so well because it doesn't want to dry and just makes a fucking mess.

Been reworking my 20" .22lr build for a minute. Going after the S-DMR look, although pretty clone incorrect, I'm settling for close enough for a .22. I might pick up a used ACOG if I can find a good deal on one. NT4 was only put on for pictures as well as the scope.
After cloning Block II, MK18, and KAC rifles I have a couple clone parts left over....
