Like the rest of you I get curious to try new ammo coming out and see if it's something I might use. For me, I shoot alot of Service Rifle events and so the accuracy side of this offering was interesting to me, so here we go: Conditions: Elevation: 5541ft Temp: 65.8F Pressure: 30.04" Humidity: 34% Range: 200yds off a bench with sandbags. Labradar used for velocity stats. Shot slow, shoot one, dryfire, shoot one. All were 10 shot grps. Rifles: -SR set up: 20" Krieger match chambered barrel. With 4838rds on it. Leupold mk4 on top. -Colt M4A1 - 5.56 NATO 14.5" barrel. Unknown rd count. M150 optic on top. Results: https://imgur.com/a/u5SYfia 20" Krieger: 3.611" -- 1.724 MOA MR: 0.575 MOA M4A1 5.50" -- 2.627MOA MR: 0.826 MOA Velocities: 20" Krieger (with 4838rds on it) 10 shots: AVE 2883 ES 43 SD 11.8 M4A1 14.5" NATO barrel 10shots: AVE 2725 ES 39 SD 14.1 Brass: Like most here, I think using the appearance of fired brass to "look at" things like pressure, is at best, a guess. But it's all we have and does give some indications. The "Krieger" brass showed no signs of pressure- primers looked good. But it also has 4838 rds on it, so while the chamber is a "match" chamber, it maybe loose. The M4 brass showed more flattening but still good. BUT there was an oddity: there was a line around the case (much like the classic case separation line) which showed on all 10rds fired. I tried but couldn't get a photo of it. I couldn't "feel it" - that is catch it with a scribe or paperclip either outside or inside. But visually it was odd. Thoughts: I was shooting ok- I hadn't shot in awhile and so I do feel the groups could've been better but for me. The M4 is topped with an M150 and at 200yds, not the best for groups. It IS running a higher velocity than most. Next I'll run some tests with and without a suppressor. |

Thank You for sharing. Do you have the Lot # of your batch of FR262 ? Preston Moore did a test with 2 different lot numbers ( private video ) .... one lot shot far better than the other lot. Between Preston Moore's 2 different Lots, and through his 14.5" Hodge.... one lot shot ( both 30rds , 100yds ) around 5.273" group, other lot 1.660" group. And FWIW, velocity was around 2700fps for both groups, but different OEM primers were used between the 2 different lots. No idea which primers... one was nickel plated , the other was brass. |

FWIW... sorry to say, your specific Lot # is the one that shot so poorly in the above mentioned video.... now I will have to check my Lot #'s. I also ordered from SGAmmo's first offering. ( Just checked, same 14260001 Lot # ) The Lot # 14260001 "should" be Nickel plated primers. ( looser groups , and my lot as well has the nickel plated primers ) FWIW... The other Lot # number Preston tested was 14260066, w/ brass primers. Any photos of the primers from your Krieger barrel you could share ? |

Ok, I checked- just opened another box and they are all silver colored. Yes, I ordered them thru SG Ammo and that's what I got. I garbage picked two for you.
