Trying to remove the front sight base on a bcm lmt mk18 upper.  I got the pins out no prob.  Problem is the front sight base won't budge.  If I use about a 12" cheater I can get it to spin, but not move forward a single bit.  I broke the nipples in my action block smacking he fsb with a dead blow.
Any opinions?  I do have a new fsb if cut it off is the consensus, but I'd rather not .

im guessing your pin holes on the new one wont match though

I was able to hit the back of mine with a decent sized rubber mallet and had the flash hider against a padded surface and just hitting towards the floor.

try to get some lube/penetrating oil in there to slick it up as well

Heat the FSB completely with a propane torch.  try to focus the flame only on the FSB and not the barrel.  It should loosen on the barrel and allow you to tap it off.  If that doesn't work reheat the FSB then run cold water through the barrel for a few seconds.  The FSB should almost fall off the barrel.

Nope.   Tried both.  I'm no stranger to heating stuff up either.  I think I'm going to send it back to bcm.
