Well after about 6 months of collecting parts, I finally finished building my first lower. It's a Rock River lower with a RRA LPK, Magpul MOE pistol grip, DSA buffer tube and carbine buffer, and a VLTOR Modstock.
The tuturiol was awesome and it only took me a little over 30 mins to put it together. Ran into one snag with the pistol grip screw not threading all the way in, but I cleaned the threads with a tap and it worked fine. |

Here is a pic. I finally figured out how to post a pic.
Anyway, here are the specs so far. RRA lower, RRA LPK, DSA buffer tube/carbine buffer, VLTOR Modstock, Magpul MOE pistol grip. This is my first lower build and deff. not the last. Very easy to do, even after having a little problem with the pistol grip threads. Thanks for the help on this site.

Thanks everyone. I have a Bravo stripped upper that I plan on building up to complete the rifle. I haven't decided on a barrel, but will probably go with a 16" carbine system. Low profile gas block, quad rail, and flip up BUIS. When I finally get it done, I will post up pics, but it may take awhile to get it all complete.
I know building these things is addictive. I already have another stripped lower I want to build now. |
