#1...Installed buffer extension and barely reaches onto detent/ retainer.  If I try to rotate another turn it hits detent center and will not allow the backplate to align, so I back it out so back plate aligns but like I said it will keep detent down but is really close to its edge.  Will this be a problem?  Do I use a different back plate that allows free range adjusting or not worry about it ?  #2... BCM grip is screwed down tight as will go,  still very loose in that it will move fore and aft,  is as if the screw is bottomed out and if it was a couple threads shorter it would work.. Could I add a extra washer to make up the difference ? Thanks for any info!

Regarding the receiver extension, the lock plate you use should have no effect.  Get it as close as you can while still in alignment ant tighten the castle nut.  If the lower and extension are in correct spec range everything will work.  If not, it will fail fairly quickly and your buffer retainer will pop put allowing the buffer to jam up eveything.

Regarding the grip, something is wrong.  It should be tight.  Remove the screw and lock ring and start over.  Be gentle and do not cross thread.

The extention tube will be on the very edge of the buffer retainer to hold it down, that is normal. If you want you can file a notch in it to get another turn on it like I did.  Use a small round jewlers file.

Yes the bolt locks back on last round,  no short strocking.

I also had a problem with a grip (A2) it would not tighten enough and some play remained so I just stuck some tape to make up the difference.
