First build complete, 20" RRA PP Varmit I started this build, my first, back in Jan. I just received the La Rue SPR mount today and mounted the Super Sniper scope this evening so it's officially finished. RRA lower, DPMS LPK, RRA Predator Pursuit complete upper, Larue SPR optics mount, Magpul PRS stock, Magpul MIAD piston Grip, Magpul Trigger guard, Timney Trigger, Harris Bipod, Brownells 20 rnd Mag I spent just over $2000 (on a $900 budget) with $40 in tools. Damn this get expensive! I saved only $100 over buying a ready built rifle, but really enjoyed the process of building it with my son Cole and lots of help from my buddy Scott at Castle Rock Tactical. I hope to get to the range this weekend and will post results if I do. Update, range report: Made to the range today and in windy conditions shot a few different rounds. The rifle liked the Hornaday TAP 75gr the best of the 3 rounds I shot ( also Blackhills 68gr heavy match, Federal 69gr Sierra Match King) with a ~.80" group see image below. The others were just over an inch, but with the wind I'll need to test again before coming to any conclusions, I'm sure the rifle will shoot better groups. The rifle functioned without misfeeds during the short session. The Super Sniper scope is very clear and the MilDot reticle is great for targets, I've very happy with it given the price point. The Timney trigger was very crisp and light, the best trigger I own, I really like the feel and it looks cool. BUT, out of about 100 rnds I had two instances of double fires. I've heard rumblings of issues with the Timney AR trigger. Can anyone confirm or point me to information on this.
