Just finished up the start of my light/practical build. Only real difficulty has been with the quality of the lower parts kit I got from Del-ton. The hammer had such a huge burr at the end of the "spring trench" on the bottom that when you drew it back it would hang up there. I've never had an AR before with a half-cock position... I had to smooth it out on my cement driveway (don't have a file). That, and I forgot to put the trigger spring in the first time http://www.msu.edu/~priessma/IMAG0068.jpg Spike's Stripped Lower Del-Ton LPK ACE ARFX Skeleton Stock |

A question-
I'll be putting a 16" superlight barrel from Bushmaster on this thing, which uses a carbine-length gas system. Will my rifle buffer work fine in this configuration, or is it sensible to add more weight to it to delay extraction somewhat and increase reliability? |

I have switched my Bushmaster upper to my M16A4 Clone lower and have had no issues. From broth a M4 set up to a M16, I don't think you will have any issue =) |
