Well, after a lot of reading and (hopefully not too annoying posting), I've come up with nearly all of my build.
The only remaining part that needs to be ordered is a low-pro gas lock. I emailed Rainier for any specific blocks that wouldn't fit under the rails just to be sure. - PSA Stripped Lower Receiver - PSA MIAD LPK - PSA MOE Stock Kit - PSA Premium BCG w/ Charging Handle - Delta Company Arms Flat Top Upper w/ Port Door and Forward Assist - Delta Company Arms SS 16" Wylde Match-Grade Barrel with 1:8 Twist - Rainier Evolution 12" Free Float Rails - Troy Front and Rear Folding Battle Sights - Magpul 30rd PMags x3 Think that covers it all. Now I just have to wait on a few things to come in, and then it's building time! I'll update this with pics once everything is completed. Thanks for all the help so far everyone - really been a huge help. .edit Picked up an MI Low Pro. Build is complete! Well, the ordering at least. |
| next time use a pair of adjustable wrench style pliers and wrap the teeth in electrical tape. After that you can pinch the pin into place without marring the finish. May have to use a punch to get it flush right at the end but definitely easier and less frustrating. |

I had actually gone out and bought some vice grips after having issues with the roll pin punch alone. They ended up being too angled and every time I went to screw down the wrench, the pin would become angled and fall out of position. I ended up using the bench vise and some tape for protection. It didn't cause really any marring - the piece of wood I used to support the ears did a better job of that. Might just pick up an armorer's block to make it a bit easier next time. Would love to link everyone to coldbore141's thread with his son's tools. They were really awesome to use and think they'd make anyone's build a little easier. |

Slight update - finally gave Aaron at Delta Company Arms a call to check on the status.
Apparently he let the order slip between the cracks, which is understandable since he said he's been in the hospital recently and has to take some meds. He's not gonna charge me for the bead-blasting and the order should be shipping out today or tomorrow at the latest. Should have a complete rifle by next week! |

looks like its coming along nicely! I hope when you used the wood to support the ears for the trigger guard you wrapped it in some type of rag or shirt or something. Then you should use painters tape...its meant to stick on and pull off nicely leaving no residue. Then third, you can always wrap the hammer in the tape also, so if it slips theres a little more protection. This info is of course for your next build though |

Honestly thinking about ordering another LPK and doing it over again, because the minor marring is really going to annoy me. I've got 2 extra PSA lowers on hand and 2 more on order, so yeah, there will be more! |
