New guy here and have been reading a ton the past month or so. Short story bought a MP15 sport about a month ago and got the wife hooked which opened the door for me to build my first AR. Here it is I think I did alright considering its my first build and selection of parts. Let me know what you think, any and all critiques are welcomed.

Spikes Zombie lower
Spikes LPK Enhanced FDE
BCM 16" Upper w DD 12 Lite
BCM BCG/CH
Troy BUIS
Spikes Buffer Kit with ST2
Vltor IMOD Stock

Aimpoint Pro was ordered yesterday from PSA 355 shipped, what a deal
Next up is a sling leaning towards VCAS 2 point

Also not really liking the Troy rail covers, need to find something a little more comfortable maybe some ergo ladder covers? Any suggestions?

Very nice build. I like the ladder covers and the Magpul XT covers.

Very nice!!

For rail covers I use the ladder rails or Larue Index clips...

Looks good. Just be aware that the ladder covers will require you to use gloves if you do a lot of shooting.

Thanks Guys, I was definitely nervous about this build but after putting everything together and shooting a couple detent pins across the room. Time spent with the build and searching for the pins was about an hour and a half. Good thing was I ordered 2 stripped lowers, so I have another ready to go. Thinking about a 14.5/7 upper something or other. We'll see this build was not the cheapest by a long shot.

Good point, I had only planned on using gloves during the winter. Northern NV gets pretty cold but that is definitely something to think about. Thanks

Very nice build.  I really like LaRue Index clips.  They feel great and you can take the number you need off to mount your accessory.

Looks great. I had the same trigger on mine but wanted a lighter pull, so when you're ready to make some improvements I recommend upgrading your trigger to a Geissele SSA or SSA-E.

Thanks for the advice, I think at some point down the road that will be on my list. Right now its getting proficient with this rife and being able to shoot/handle properly. Once I get some adequate time down range then I'll move on to more upgrades/builds. I've got 2k rounds staring at me now just waiting to be fired but between my wife and I that will be eaten up in a matter of no time, considering the range is less than 5 miles away. Thanks again for the advice from everyone.

Great first build. Looks like you did your homework. I would recommend the VCAS, I like it.
