Trying to figure out what handguard to run on my Aero M5. What's out there, that peeps are using? And how do you like, what you went with.
What I've been able to find so far is Midwest Industries, Troy, Fortis, possibly PRI and sometime soon Aero Precision. Beyond that, I'm not seeing much more. I ike the looks of the Rainer Switch handguard but the price tag for it is a little steep for me at the moment. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |

I believe I saw that SLR is working on making their products for the various 308 platforms. I know for sure GII, and pretty sure KAC/SR-25 and "Gen 1" DPMS stuff too.
I found the thread via google, probably in the industry forum here, it was all SLR info, and 39 pages lol. |
I'm planning on using a 12.5" Apex on mine. Should be here tomorrow from Brownells. Everything else major except the trigger and furniture will be Aero. Barrel, LPK, BCG and Upper/Lower.

The Switch looks great on the rifle. Just wish it was a few $$ cheaper.

I'm running the Rainier branded Fortis Switch, it's pretty damn nice and very light. The barrel nut is a pain to find a wrench that fits it, ended up buying a cheap strap wrench from Home Depot. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1424/13602099/24570561/409750355.jpg |
