I'm trying to decide what rail system to use on my DPMS lopro upper, but it seems like most of the free float rail systems that lay flush with the upper have indexing tabs near the bottom that overlap the upper.  The lo-pro is thicker than your typical a3 upper, so I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this.  Are there any rails that do not have the indexing tabs, or will the tabs fit despite the increased thickness of the upper reciever?

Thanks in advance.

I used a YHM Customizable Free Float Forearm System  with the 3/8 height rail and it is a perfect height for the lowpro. But check i have heard that the new lowpro's are now the same height as all a3 upper receivers. Mike

I have a lo pro upper too. Out of curiosity why did you guys choose that upper over a standard one with forward assist, and brass deflector?

thanks

I chose this upper just because it did not have the dust cover , foward assist, and deflector i wand a sllick upper.

I choose them cause I wanted slick sided for my pistol builds.

ETA: Yes the new ones are same height as the A3 upper.

I had one on the rifle I just sold, and really liked  the look. The fit was great. My only problem was I shoot left handed as much or more than I do right handed and the shell would hit me in the right check when doing so.

If I get another one in the future I'll need to figure out a way to attach some type of brass deflector.
