Is the DPMS FF tube two piece? If so I would guess I merely thread the barrel nut part on first like in the sticky notes. Is it set up so I can time the handgaurd to put a sling swivel on the front?

Its 2 piece, put on the barrel nut first then the tube. Mine did not have the stud attached since it may or may not index so you drill the hole after everything is tight and mount your sling swivel.

I just installed the two-piece forearm. I suggest you use loctite on the barrel nut . Then tighten the forearm with a strap wrench, you may also use a drop or two of locktite on it. A bipod/slingstud can be added after for perfect alignment. Make sure it's a short stud that won't touch tha barrel. Good luck.

Thanks all. That was the only hold up on me putting an upper together for the stepson to go with his new 700 in 223 I got him for Christmas.
