Stook, WHAT TYPE and length OF BBL is that which you are useing ?. And I guess those are carbine length hand gaurds. Anyways like I said, You Have Just (ONE, PUSS WEAPON ), ( California, LINGO ).

Hehe, thanks again buddy. Thats the standard LR308B barrel, which is an 18'' long bull 4140 Chome-moly steel barrel with a 0.936'' outside diameter. Attached to the end is a Miculek compensator (dramatically reduces felt recoil, you can really feel the pressure wave too if your standing to the left or right of the shooter). The handguards are DPMS carbine length quad rail free floats, with rail covers on the bottom and sides. Appreciate the compliments on the rifle,

I posted before, but I changed a lot of stuff. Here is the final configuration:

Started as a stock LR-308.

I have changed:
Noveske 18" barrel
Ace stock
JP trigger
sierra grip
DNTC comp
TA33 ACOG
versapod

8.25 lbs empty. I love it.

The version of the ultimate DMR\SASS type rifle...shoots steel out to 830yards....and not a paper poker like the 5.56!

Standard LRT SASS was re-worked.

Tossed and Replaced:
... JP and put in a Jewell
... Mangonels and put on Troy
... 9-13 Harris and put on a 6-9 w/podlock and QD Larue
... Panther grip and put on SPR modified for ambi selector
... Vltor and put on Magpul PRS
... DPMS covers and put on KAC and ladders
... Oh yeah, and Nightforce

I don’t plan ahead… I stage and choreograph spontaneous events.

DPMS 308 24" fluted with Bennie coolie break, chip trigger (soon to be timney 3lb skelton and moving the chip to another ar), ace stock but the PRS is on order... just backordered, harris bipod, Leupold mark4 6.5-20x50 ill TMR held tight by a Larue mount.

Just picked her up last weekend at a fun show. Stock LR-308T. My optics off the AR-50... SSx16 on Burris Extreme Tacs. She's hitting the range tomorrow for break in. We'll see what happens.

I know this is for pictures but hoping yall could help I picked up a DPMS with a collapsable stock,detachable carry handle and free floating pictatiny foregourd.NIB I have been told by others who shoot AR's that I am going to have feeding problems, the fit would losen up and become sloppy over time. I thought DPMS was a good product, know I wonder if I should unload this rifle and maybe get a Bushmaster or something else. I do not have alot to spend on repairs nor buying one of the higher end AR's. Your advise would be helpful. Thanks

An updated photo of my 308. It's a stock 24" fluted barrel that Mike at Tornado Arms threaded and recrowned. It's sporting a SAS 30 cal can of which I have yet to shoot the combo. I'm thinking I might add an JP adjustable gas block if it needs it.

The Panther 308 will be my next buy for sure. And I love how many of the 5.56 accessories are compatible with the 308 (MIAD, SOPMOD).

After I wrote this I allmost did not post it but if it just helps one Couple out, With the, Why The Hell Did You Buy That Thing, it will be worth it for me sounding so Corny!.

No adapter, it is cut into the reciever and comes that way from the factory. It is an FN TPS and they use a standard car-15 stock but the tube is not hollow instead it is solid.
Any standard AR carbine stock will screw right in.

I've just got in from breaking in my lr .308. love it I also have 2 bushmasters. One in .223 and the other in .450. Planning to get a .458 and .50 in future as well. My dpms after a while breaking printed a five shot group to fit in a "penny" on several occasions. The trigger is sticky for now( getting Jewel) JP Enterprises is sending a recoil eliminator in mail now and finally- I will be looking for a better pistol grip. Any recondmendations?

Is that "Minute Of Penny"?

I'm waiting for my new LR-308C. This is the TAC20, but they changed the 4 rail tube to a standard handguard.
I then changed the standard handguard to a standard freefloat tube.

So you can change out the stock on an AP4 .308 for a SOPMOD without the removal of the buffer tube?

The Sopmod on my tac 20 came with a standard mil-spec buffer tube. The AP 4 I had came with a com. spec buffer tube. If you put the mil spec on you are good to go

How ever mine now wears a PRS instead of the Sopmod. Hope that helps.

I only looked at the first page and this current page. After seeing some of the .308 DPMS rifles on here, I don't need to look at this whole thread or it will make me want to go spend more money on a .308 AR. Some REALLY nice looking rifles in here.
