| I am new to this forum, and I would like to use my first post to tell all you guys that you have a sickness. Especially sniperx, sgtlmj, and a few others that really peaked my interest in the black rifle. I do have a AR, but it is a bone stock bushy m4. Wont be stock for long though hanging around here. Sniperx and sgt----those are a couple of the sweetest looking rifles i have ever seen. Good work and I hope I can live up to your example. |
How about some descriptions on these rifles. Model, accessories and such. Really like that tiger stripe brown one. Dont know about the ported barrel though. |

Originally a DPMS LR-308T, now with the 18" bull barrel, JP VTAC, Ace skeleton buttstock, a 3 point sling of my own design, Aimpoint laser, and Trijicon TA311 ACOG (donut + .308 BDC). Nothing fancy: UTG rails CCA stock and ergo grip GG&G riser and rear flip up sight Mamba tac sling Aimpoint  I have always been a fan of Bushmasters but recently I got my first DPMS and I really like it. First things I noticed was that it had a much more solid and tight feel than either of my bushmasters had. Second was the over all look and condition of the craftsman ship. It looked stellar. When I got it out to the range is when it became evident that I had made a good purchase. The trigger pull was crisp which I really liked as opposed to a little bit of play before the rifle fires. Function was awsome. My Bushmasters would start to short cycle and malfunction if the lubrication was applied to thin or became dry. Out of curiosity I wiped the bolt and upper clean of lubrication and put it back together, slapped in a 30 rnd mag and cut loose. Not one problem, it spit out every round flawlessly so I threw in another mag and had the same result. I have heard both good and bad opinions about DPMS but I am more inclined to believe the good stuff after my experience with DPMS. I am much happier with this rifle than either of my Bushmasters. |
How does everyone like there .308's. I considered going that route but ended up getting my M1A which I have always wanted. I'm still curious about the DPMS .308's and there over all function. From what I've seen in this thread there up to par but if anyone has any info it would be appreciated. I know, I know this is for DPMS but I had to throw it in just for comparison  |

My DPMS Panther Carbine (PCAR-RFA2): I bought this three years ago. I started accessorizing it as soon as I got it. In November 2006, I went the SBR route. I have also installed a BCM FA BCG. This is one helluva little carbine. A guy that I work with bought one last year. This is my M16A1 Retro build. It rest on a DPMS lower receiver w/DPMS LPK. Everything else is USGI.

Well here's my DPMS 16" carbine . -GG&G BUIS W/ RISER RAIL -BUSHNELL TROPHY SIGHT (Believe it or not I went in to get the L3 Eotech but like this one better...who woulda thunk it.) -Still have the UTG rails because there's nothing wrong with them lol. -CCA Buttplate You all are killing me with your 308's and SASS's. If I keep drooling on my keep board the computer is going to short out.

New here! Heres my toys. assembled by me. The DPMS upper has a custom Krieger bull barrel with 1-12 twist for varmint weight bullets and the 11.5/5.5 upper is for FUN @ the range with my kids. DM1975, I feel VERY LUCKY to have the Wife that I do. She buys Firearms for me, and sometimes just on a whim, and SHE KNOWS what to look for. Three years ago for my birthday she bought me a custom Ruger #1 single shot in .470 Nitro Express as she noticed I had my hands all over it at a gun show and she went back and bought it for me. Now she has taken intrest in my ARs, AKs, Valmets, FALs and such and the other day bought 20 new magazines for my S & W MP 15. And beleve me we are far from rich, Im on SSI Disabilty from a heart attack and stroke I had in 2002 but I work 2 days a week in a Pawnshop just to score good deals, and She is a, Cook, Waitress, Hostess at a restarant and does this with her tip money. We take care and watch out for each other, I do all the cooking, ( Retired Chef ) so she can relax after all the hours she works, and so forth. I dont mean to try to push anyones buttons at all, but you would be amazed at how much love can be brought into a relationship just by each other scraping pennies for a few months just to suprize the other with something they want, Even if its just a pistol grip for your AR,or a flash hider, or a magazine subscription to the one they buy at the store each month. After I wrote this I allmost did not post it but if it just helps one Couple out, With the, Why The Hell Did You Buy That Thing, it will be worth it for me sounding so Corny!.
