Before I was in to EBRs, I was in to long range hunting.  The group of guys I hunt deer with (my pops friends) were some of the pioneers of long range hunting, at least in WI.  They were tweaking loads for Weatherby wildcats and "hunting" magnums, practicing on their 700 yard range, and taking animals from deer to elk at 4, 5, 6, even 650 yards when the mantra was "no shot over 2-300 yards is ethical."  Mil-dot scopes were available, but not very common.  Adjusting for range with turret clicks was almost unheard of and too slow for hunting purposes.  Their solution was Premiere Reticle and custom reticles for their Leupold scopes, with hold over dots sized and spaced for particular hunting loads.

Then, Leupold bullied or convinced or talked Premiere out of providing this service to "their" scopes, opening their custom shop who would supposedly provide anything the end user wanted, and I believe for a couple years they did just that.  Now, however, any kind of user defined reticle is refused.  If you can't build it on their website, they won't make it.  We have tooling for this but not that, they told me.  (What part of custom equals standard tooling and jigs?)

So my question, is now what?  Google provides links to Premiere and their new, out of my price range business model.  T.K. Lee will place dots, and only dots.  US Optics will make just about whatever you want, but only for their scopes.

Is there anywhere to get a true, user defined, custom reticle installation any more?
