So I was thinking, would mounting a FLIR thermal image sight behind a non NV optic work?

Just kinda popped in my head, and honestly don't know much about thermal so just curious.

I can be wrong but, it's my understanding that glass is the magical barrier thermal imaging cannot see through unless the heat source is directly on or near it.

Basically the reason I ask was, I wanted to get one for some night time coyote hunting, I was wondering if I could get one that would work behind my scopes and eotechs. Figured it would be an awesome fun family outing. I guess my best bet would be to either mount one by itself on each rifle, or go ahead and start replacing my non NV optics, and get some NV to go with it... :/ $$$$$ this could get pricey haha
