| I have a Sig 556 SBR great rifle, and am looking at putting a compact ACOG on it. I have been looking at the 1.5x16 or the 2x20. There is not any locally that I can look at, so I am looking for some feedback from people who have tried one or both. |
| I have a TA44SR-10. I really like it a lot. Eye relief is excellent on it, no having to get your eye right up on it like the higher powered ACOG's. I checked out both the 2x and 1.5x at the SHOT show and I my personal preference was the 1.5 due the field of view and eye relief. The only thing I would change if I bought another, is I would get the green reticle instead of red, supposedly they are a little easier to see, but to be honest, red works just fine. |
| I have both the 2x20, red triangle and the new 1.5x short housing, red circle/dot. I like them both - the 2x is better than the old 1.5x, but I think the new 1.5x is the best. I think it's a better CQB to 100M sight than Aimpoint or EOtech. It provides a touch of magnification, but not so much that across the room distance is a problem. |

I have a TA45R-4 (1.5x24), and find it a great optic. It has large eye relief, and just a bit of magnification. Not quite as fast up close as a red dot, but better as the range increases. Also, very clear glass and rugged construction. |

I have the TA504R (3x Red crosshair) and I like it for medium range shots but I got a chance to check out the TA26SR10 and I must say it is impressive. I can't run my A4 build with a BUIS because of the eye relief is so short. I really like the 1.5x. I have a TA50 4 with the yellow crosshair and 3X. I mounted it on my carry handle. I drilled a new mounting hole further back to get the correct eye relief. I really like this rig. I use the irons out to 300 yards. At 300-600 yards I just lift my head slightly and I have a scope. Simple and light. The rifle is also in A4 configuration with a Colt AR lower and Colt M16A4 upper. I tried a full size ACOG with buis but went back to this. |
