I picked up a Colt 4x20 scope. No instructions. Can someone tell me which knobs/scews adjust windage and elevation? There is a scew adjustment on top of the bullet drop compensator knob - I'm assuming the screw adjusts elevation? Yes? There is a large screw on one side of the scope and a small knob on the other side of the scope. I'm assuming one of these is for windage? Which? Thanks Marty |
| On the right side of the scope (as viewed from the rear) the small knob (actually a cap) comes off. Underneath is the adjustment for windage. You are correct that the one on the top is for elevation. Again, the center of the cap can be removed to get access to the adjustment. The top cap and the scope adjustments are all slotted to turn with the base of a 223 round. Each mark is 1" at 100 yards. Those on the windage are especially close together and adjustment can be a little touchy. Do not attempt to losen the large screw head on the left side of the scope. It is not an adjustment. I hope that this helps. Watch-Six |
