Ok I am ready to order my first AR a MT6400c. My question is, if the awb should sunset I would love to put a fs on. Does the comp come off on this gun? I would most likely let a pro do it but want to make sure it can be done. Anybody?   Thanks Rick

Yes, the compensator does come off. It usually comes off at high speed, somewhere around the 150th round! But seriously, mine's held on tight through about 900 rounds so far. The comp is easily removed by driving the two retaining pins out and slipping it off the end of the barrel. The earlier MT6400C comps were configured with roll pins, and they apparently developed a reputation for taking flight downrange. You'll love the 6400!!!

The new 6400Cs don't have the hollow roll pins, and will stay on just fine. The old ones did.

It can be taken off rather easily. No worries.[:)]
