I'm interested in coloring the lettering around my selector and was wondering what the best way to go about it would be. I was thinking of using a needle dipped in some sort of model paint, but I figured I'd ask if anyone had a better way first. Also, does anyone know where to get OD Green model paint?

I followed this tutorial using crayola crayons.

I did it using a China marker on my Garand. Looks great, and stays white too, for some reason

I copied a buddies technique;
He uses 'Sharpie Pens' but they have paint in them, you can get them at an art supply store. We did the red and white H&K look.

first wipe area with alcohol, let dry
then dab in the paint. carefully wipe off what you get on the flat surface. If you can't wipe it all off with a dry patch, use a little solvent.

I use ceramic paint from the hobby store. It's the stuff that you can paint plates and run it through the dishwasher wih out it coming off. You don't need to heat it to cure it.
