[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Color question?

Need to have some stuff refinished.....XM gray, Colt gray....what's the difference? Also I have a M16A1 that is like a silver gray...what specific color would that be called...I've been leaning to have my C7 upper/A2 lower refinished gray...I see the Canadian C7 are gray, but what color gray would it be called? The XM color uppers and lowers I have bought from NDS are a pretty dark gray.

If you find any Gray or bare aluminum I will trade you a black one with "civilian use only" makings.

The bottom one is "hardcoat only", as in no dye.

The color is a bronze-tan

I would do your build in the "Pre-Ban" Colt gray. Most 80's vintage A2's and commercial guns were that color.

Thanks for the replies, I have a lot of project ideas bouncing around in my head, some actually come to fruition and others just are a fleeting thought.
