I'm sure this is out there somewhere, but I've not yet found it: How many MOA does one click of the elevation knob on a detachable carry handle change the strike of the round? Same question for a fixed (A2) carry handle. Thanks. |

On milspec sights, for the flat top carry handle, one click is 1/2 minute of angle. For the A2 type upper, one click is 1 minute of angle. HOWEVER--- DPMS, and posssibly some other, carry handles are one MOA per click, which means that the yardage marks on the wheel, from 300-600 meters, are totally useless. The way to tell if your piece is one minute or 1/2 minute is to turn the wheel up as far as it will g. If it turns all the way around, so the 3/6 mark is back where it started from, it's a 1/2 minute mil spec (for yardage) piece. If it just goes a liitle past halfway around, you've got a one minute piece, and all the range markings on that little wheel, beyond the range you sighted in for, are useless. |
